Shakespeare on the lawn

  Event: Two-day Shakespeare Festival Date/ Time: 12 & 13 September 2015, 3 – 5pm Venue: Westbury Arts Centre, Foxcovert Rd, Shenley Wood, Milton Keynes MK5 6AA The weekend of the 12th and 13th of September sees the fourth annual “Shakespeare on The Lawn” performances at Westbury Arts Centre. Local professional and amateur actors will be presenting a dramatic medley of extracts from the Bard’s plays. The 17th Century farm building is the perfect back-drop for this event. Performances begin at 3pm and entry is free.

NEWS: New AGMK Spoken Word Team is LIVE

AGMK from today has a new Spoken Word Team, to be led by Terrie Howie and Richard Frost. The Spoken Word Team will now be responsible for: performance poetry, storytelling, stand-up, tour guiding, public speaking, and performance skills and events related to these areas. These areas are mostly subsumed under the Literature Team at the moment. This change leaves the Literature Team responsible for: fiction, page poetry, other prose (life-writing, biography, non-fiction, journalism), graphic novels, and the purely creative-writing side of drama and film (i.e. playwriting and scripts).
