Working with Schools: A development day for Creative and Cultural Providers 15th March 2017 – 1-3pm Arts Gateway MK, Third Floor, Norfolk House, Silbury Blvd, Milton Keynes MK9 2AH A development day for creative professionals who would like to explore the possibility of working with schools and other youth-focused agencies. Participants are welcomed from a wide range of creative and cultural industries and it is suitable for freelancers and organisations. Music For Miracles

Leighton Linslade Concert Band & Woburn Jazz Please join us for an evening of Music performed by Woburn Jazz and Leighton Linslade Concert Band in Support of ‘Little Lives’, raising much needed money for babies, big and small at Milton Keynes Hospital’s Neonatal Unit. ‘Woburn Jazz’ will play Big Band arrangements along with Jazz Standards, Latin and Funk pieces lead by John Gates. ‘Leighton Linslade Concert Band’ will play music from the movies, musicals and popular classics lead by John Ravenor. Junction 14 Ladies A Cappella In their 30th year, Junction 14 invite you to join them and their guest performers to enjoy an evening of song and entertainment.  The ladies of Junction 14 will treat you to a variety of songs sung in 4-part harmony including ‘My Baby Just Cares for Me’, one of their competition entries in the 2016 LABBS Convention. Creative Workspace Network Project Manager: paid work opportunity

Last year Arts Gateway led a sub-regional project funded by the Arts Council to identify and connect organisations offering creative workspace across the SEMLEP sub-region. This was successfully delivered up to a sub-regional launch meeting held in April at The Hat Factory in Luton. The project manager Amy Waruszynski stood down on the birth of her son in the summer, and there remains funding for a second phase of implementation. We are looking for a capable creative to pull the threads together in the first half of 2017, reporting into the reconvened steering group. The aims of the project remain to: a. Project Manager required for MK Arts Week 2017

Arts Gateway is looking for a PROJECT MANAGER to run the second MK Arts Week annual mixed arts/open studios event planned for 30th September to 8th October 2017. Arts Gateway MK is continuing this annual programme designed to involve creative artists in a range of genres, across MK and neighbouring areas. MKAW 2016 was funded and successful, and left a small surplus to pump-prime 2017. An early task will be to secure the funding for 2017 go ahead with the expectation that the post will be paid, as for the 2015 pilot and 2016 initial year. Highlights from Art in The Park 2016

Remembering the highlights from this year’s Art in the Park Festival! Thank you to everyone that joined us this year to celebrate Art in the Park 2016, we were pleased to welcome over 10,000 visitors to the colourful event at Campbell Park. You can view the highlights from this year’s festival below, or why not tell us what you thought about the event on our Facebook Page. This year Nottingham Based Artist Nadim Chaudry created one of his largest colourful Installations to date which filled the large Art Marquee at this year’s Art in the Park. Find out more here.
