Milton Keynes based Youth Dance Company InitiateYDC will be performing their latest work Matriarch’s Pathway this Saturday at Stony Day Of Dance. Their second appearance at the event, the company will be performing alongside a whole host of other dance groups and styles.
The company’s focus is on working professionally towards performance and is now in it’s second year of activity. This year Initiate has performed at the Rugby World Cup Fanzone, co-hosted a youth dance platform Jump Start and has participated in a Research and Development project with choreographers Helen Parlor and Effie McGuire Ward. Over the coming weeks, they will be working with Cecilia Macfarlane and a group of intergenerational dancers towards yet another new work for his year’s MÓTUS festival.
