World Art Exhibition for Festival of Nations – Call Out to Artists

World Art Exhibition July 30th – August 13th 2015 Call Out to Artists Arts Gateway MK is holding a World Art Exhibition at Arts Central as part of the Festival of Nations. Open to all artists, all media. The Festival of Nations is a celebration of international music, dance, storytelling, poetry, film, photography, fashion, games and more. We ask that submissions to the World Art Exhibition are in keeping with this theme, representing the rich history, art, and cultures of the world. You can ‘Print Your World’: MK based company 3D Printworld is holding a free introduction to 3D Printing at Arts Central to show you how. Milton Keynes is the home of some of the UK’s most vibrant and innovative businesses and individuals, and therefore is the perfect place for 3D Printworld to spread the word on this cutting edge technology. The Arts Gateway (Networking) Mingle and re-launch of Arts Central on Level 2 – 18th March 2015

NEWS: New AGMK Spoken Word Team is LIVE

AGMK from today has a new Spoken Word Team, to be led by Terrie Howie and Richard Frost. The Spoken Word Team will now be responsible for: performance poetry, storytelling, stand-up, tour guiding, public speaking, and performance skills and events related to these areas. These areas are mostly subsumed under the Literature Team at the moment. This change leaves the Literature Team responsible for: fiction, page poetry, other prose (life-writing, biography, non-fiction, journalism), graphic novels, and the purely creative-writing side of drama and film (i.e. playwriting and scripts). (Any grey areas will be agreed upon as and when, in individual cases, or in partnership, as we currently do betweenTeams).  Terrie and Richard both have extensive experience of Community Arts, Arts in Education, and are already
