Arts Central Quiz Night

  Teams of up to four people are invited to put their knowledge to the test during a fun evening of quiz questions.  Topics will vary over the rounds and there will be prizes on offer for the top scorers. A meal will be served along with a drink as part of the entry price. Booking open: http://agmkquiz.eventbrite.co.uk. Early bird ticket bookers £9 per person. (£11 each after March 8). Press Release                                                                           For immediate release: February 7, 2014 Arts Central issues latest call to local artists seeking new work. Arts Central has just announced a new, juried exhibition, opening April 4, 2014. The current call out asks artists to create and submit new work responding to the following words: Janus, horizons, reflection, water, mirror, and building. “The creative programme for 2014 at Arts Central will be formed around a series of quarterly themes” says Creative Coordinator, Debi-Sara Wilkinson, “with a schedule of workshops and events around the theme.” The first quarterly theme at Arts Central will run from April-June 2014 and is a call to all creative practices. The submission date for entries to the exhibition is Friday March 7th, 5.30pm deadline.

Rosemary Lee Offers Exciting Opportunity for Dancers in or Close to Milton Keynes

Choreographer Rosemary Lee is selecting a small team of four professional and four apprentice dancers from the Milton Keynes area (or within easy travel distance) to assist her in the creation and performance of Under the Vaulted Sky.  This new commission from IF: Milton Keynes International Festival 2014, www.ifmiltonkeynes.org will be created for the Cathedral of Trees in Milton Keynes involving up to 100 local performers.  It will premiere during the IF Festival in July 2014. “I am looking for expressive, experienced dancers who have experience of improvisation, somatic practice, working with images and qualities, creating new works, and working inclusively with different ages. They need to be open to learn, have very good communication and organizational skills, and be committed to working within a
