Milton Keynes Cultural Education Partnership Opportunity for Arts Organisations / Artists **Deadline 9th October** MK Cultural Education Partnership (MKCEP) invites applications from arts providers* working in Milton Keynes to participate in an exciting action research project focused on ‘place-making’.  The CEP seeks a maximum of five arts providers to work in partnership with local primary schools and is particularly keen to hear from those looking to develop their learning based practice and build stronger relationships with schools.  The aim of the programme is to identify and support the growth of cultural leadership within schools and arts education leadership in the cultural sector.  Joint project planning, delivery and reflection between teachers and arts providers will assist in deepening a common agenda – focusing in particular on

Arts In the Park Festival – July 1st and 2nd

Milton Keynes explores Migration in Art in the Park Festival   Art in the Park Festival, organised by Milton Keynes Islamic Arts Heritage and Culture (MKIAC) returns to Campbell Park for its eighth successive year with the theme of Migration from Saturday 1st July (1-7pm) to Sunday 2nd July (1-6pm).   This celebratory multicultural festival has grown to attract over 11,000 people annually and provides a platform for local emerging talent to share a stage alongside internationally respected musicians, dancers, visual artists, chefs, storytellers and poets.   Art in the Park is delighted to be included in the MK50 major event program – to mark the city’s anniversary. Working with Schools: A development day for Creative and Cultural Providers 15th March 2017 – 1-3pm Arts Gateway MK, Third Floor, Norfolk House, Silbury Blvd, Milton Keynes MK9 2AH A development day for creative professionals who would like to explore the possibility of working with schools and other youth-focused agencies. Participants are welcomed from a wide range of creative and cultural industries and it is suitable for freelancers and organisations.
