Promotional Launch of MK Arts Week

MK Handmade & Vintage Weekend Extravaganza

World Art Exhibition for Festival of Nations – Call Out to Artists

World Art Exhibition July 30th – August 13th 2015 Call Out to Artists Arts Gateway MK is holding a World Art Exhibition at Arts Central as part of the Festival of Nations. Open to all artists, all media. The Festival of Nations is a celebration of international music, dance, storytelling, poetry, film, photography, fashion, games and more. We ask that submissions to the World Art Exhibition are in keeping with this theme, representing the rich history, art, and cultures of the world. My favourite things – The Grand unveiling!

For the last two months MacIntyre Charity and CLMK (Community Learning MK) have been working along side each other to produce this exciting exhibition. With the theme of ‘My favourite things’ they ran workshops for learners from both settings to make work in a variety of mediums. There was also an Open Call for work. The Exhibition starts this evening 12th of June at Christ the Cornerstone Church in Central Milton Keynes and will run for about 2 weeks subject to the Church opening hours and services. Some of the work may be sold in aid of the MacIntyre Charity.

Parent/Child Apron Making Day

Enjoy a day of making aprons with your child or grandchild at Westbury Arts Centre Wednesday 27th May 10.30-4pm Workshop takes place at Westbury Arts Centre, Shenley Wood Your child needs to be between (or nearly) 8 and 12 years of age The cost is £35 for each parent/child pair Paper patterns and sewing materials are provided though there is a £5 contribution to help cover fabric costs. Great Creative Spaces in the Heart of Milton Keynes

With seating for 70, room 19 is very accomodating. There is a piano in the Board Room available for rehearsals. The Board Room table is perfect for business meetings up to 20 people. Additional seating and specialty equiptment are also available. The Board Room being used for creative purposes.
