Call out to all AC residents The AGMK Board of Trustees would like to extend an invitation to all resident artists to submit design ideas for a new Arts Central logo. The Brief The logo must reflect the diverse creativity of the organisation and its members, expressing the various elements that make up our different genre teams (Visual Arts; Theatre, Film & Drama; Dance; Literature & Spoken Word; Art & Wellbeing; Art & Education and Art & Technology). Help us to ‘Make a GIANT difference together’

You may have heard the exciting news that Festive Road is a finalist in the ITV Big Lottery Peoples Millions?! If we win we will be able to run a Giant programme of workshops leading up to the Walking with Giants parade 2015 which will take valuable sessions of Music, Dance, Giant Puppet building and Circus skills into numerous disadvantaged and well deserving schools and communities in Milton Keynes. We want them to feel part of something Giant! But we need your support to make this happen. Wolverton Lantern Festival – 6th December 2014

The Point Souvenir Shop: A Big Send Off Thursday 20 November / 7pm / Free (donations welcome) Pre-booking essential online via Eventbrite An evening of commemorative activity for Milton Keynes’ iconic red ziggurat, The Point, including a lecture on The Pyramids of Great Britain by author David Winpenny. Shopping will commence in The Point Souvenir Shop, our November Project Space exhibition by artist Emily Shepherd. Stitch Club Central with Sylvia Fairhurst – Mon 24th Nov

Monday, November 24, 2014 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM Arts Central MK 3rd Floor (South), Station House, Elder Gate, CMK, MK9 1BB This is a social stitch club. Anyone who stitches is welcome, but numbers are limited so book up quick to confirm your place. Bring along your unfinished project be it sewing, embroidery, knitting, crochet, patchwork or any other type of stitching. Allow some time to enjoy yourself and indulge your need to be creative, with good company and no distractions.
