Learn how to create three dimensional beadwork for customised fashion accessories or decorative objects. Learn professional finishing techniques. Get creative together, learn new skills, make new friends. First meet let’s have a Christmas theme, make a tree decoration or a small gift for someone you care about. A new print club for textile artists at Arts Central!

A new print club for textile artists. Thursdays in Arts Central 12.30-2.30. Experience needed.  This group is not for beginners, but to brush up on your skills and make new friends. Bring your own materials and equipment. These weeks could also be used to print your own Christmas cards? £10 per session or £50 for 5 consecutive classes. GreatWarMK banner making workshop – 8 November 2014

10am – 4pm – Westbury Arts Centre Foxcovert Road, MK5 6AA WW1  MILTON KEYNES BANNER PROJECT at Westbury Arts Milton Keynes is a new and expanding community. The Westbury Arts Centre are holding banner making workshops for those passionate about all things textile!! The workshop is suitable for all levels of ability, from beginners interested in learning textile skills, to those with advanced textiles skills. The workshop will be run by Vinny Stapley, a textile artist and teacher, who plans to work with a wide range of groups within the Milton Keynes community to create hundreds of Banners to commemorate those people who served in The Great War. Learn elementary methods of design Learn how to create three dimensional beadwork for customised fashion accessories or decorative objects. Learn professional finishing techniques. Week one is all about the basics, we take one technique and explore the effects created by using different shapes and sizes of beads. Stitch Club Central @ Arts Central

Hosted by Sylvia Fairhurst Cost £5 This is a social stitch club. Anyone who stitches is welcome but numbers are limited. Bring along your unfinished projects be it sewing, embroidery, knitting, crochet, patchwork or any other type of stitching. Allow some time to enjoy yourself and indulge your need to be creative, with good company and no distractions. Pottery exhibition to mark Mental Health awareness week

12-4.30 Saturday 11th of October Tomorrow for ‘one day only’ there is a pottery exhibition tomorrow at St Andrews church in Great Linford: Rethink Mental Health Charity ( Milton Keynes) have been working with  local potter Andy MacDermott during the summer and are very excited in being able to show their work in an exhibition for one day. St Andrews Church in Great Linford is a great venue and the surrounding grounds are lovely ~ a lake & it in also just a few steps away from the canal ~ so worth a wonder round after viewing the Pottery and having a cuppa and some nice home made cake.
